Our story
Punica was created to give small businesses access to professional bookkeeping and financial support without the cost and complexity of maintaining a full-time accounting department. With 10+ years of North American bookkeeping and accounting experience, we combine human expertise with modern cloud technology and AI-assisted tools to make financial management more efficient, proactive, and useful for business owners.

Our approach
We don’t just record transactions and send financial statements. Punica uses technology and AI-assisted workflows to help identify unusual transactions, missing information, duplicate entries, reconciliation issues, expense patterns, and other items that may deserve attention.
Our goal is to move bookkeeping from “recording what happened” to “helping the owner understand what is happening.” Final accounting decisions remain under human review.

A structured financial memory for each business
Organized and separated
Punica is developing a secure cloud-based document and financial-record environment designed to keep each client’s information organized and separated by company and reporting period. We plan to maintain structured digital “memory boxes” for each client, with separate records for monthly and weekly activity, supporting documents, reconciliations, reports and important financial information.
Controlled access
Access will be controlled by client and user permissions, with multi-factor authentication, secure cloud storage, regular backups and appropriate retention procedures. The system is designed so that client information remains separated and traceable rather than being mixed across businesses.
Our goal is not simply to store documents in the cloud. We are building a structured financial memory for each business.
Technology
AI assists the bookkeeper. It doesn’t replace the bookkeeper.
AI helps us process information faster, identify patterns and potential errors, and reduce repetitive work. A human bookkeeper reviews the results and makes the final accounting decisions.
